NOTD: Barry M - Pomegranate

I don't really like wearing red nail polish, it makes me feel a bit like... a lady of the night.
I also don't want to be wearing bright pink nail polish when it's so pretty and autumnal outside.
However, I have found a great compromise in my trusted Barry M collection.

Barry M Gelly in the shade Pomegranate is a perfect off red, pinky red.

Like the majority of the darker Barry M Gelly polishes, it applies easily and without streaks.

Having only used this once, a few months ago, I'd forgotten what it was like to work with.
Once the brush hit my nails, I was absolutely blown away by the pigmentation of this polish.

I'm only wearing ONE COAT in this picture. Can we just take a moment? There's not a streak of faded patch in sight!

It has the usual thin Barry M brush that allows you to follow the three stroke nail polish application technique.
It dries within 3-5 minutes which is pretty standard for Gellies.
You can see it gives a high shine finish and that's without a top coat.

You may notice my nails are a little shorter than usual. I've been having a lot of trouble with them lately so before applying my Barry M clear polish as a basecoat, I used Oriflame The ONE Nail Shield* to help strengthen my nails. I'm really excited to see if it actually helps!

Are you a red nail fan or do you keep things neutral? Let me know, :)

Thanks for reading!

  1. This is a gorgeous shade and with one coat! My nails are acting like a petulant child at the minute ever since I tried the Essesnce nail hardener in the silver bottle..My cuticles are in complete bits! The Oriflame Nail Sheild looks lovely though :)

    1. Oh god don't talk to me about Essence nail hardeners... Apply some sort of oil 2-3 times a day on the cuticle area to really bring them back to normal! I'll have a review up on it soon! :) x
